About

Quick facts about me

01

I studied engineering at Ecole Centrale Marseille. I then spent 3 years working as an engineer on the management side of nuclear power plant construction. Early on, I realized that diplomas and technical expertise alone don’t open doors—it’s communication, influence, and leadership that truly make the difference.

02

In 2014, I earned my MBA at HEC Paris (ranked #9 worldwide by FT in 2025). I was fortunate to receive two leadership awards during my time there. It was an intense journey—lots of learning, and definitely not much sleep!

03

At 27, I launched my first company, organizing concerts, trade shows, and sports events. One of my proudest projects was a 3-day anime and video game convention in Paris, held in a 7,000 m² hall with with 6,000 visitors and major exhibitors like Nintendo and Ubisoft. That experience pushed me to quickly improve my communication, public speaking, and sales skills.

04

This path led me to become a keynote speaker for the French Navy and eventually serve as a Capitaine de Corvette (Lieutenant Commander) in the Navy Reserve. There, I worked on leadership, communication, and decision-making in submarines—an experience unlike any other.

05

My philosophy of life is to adopt a learning mindset and stay humble. Only then can I keep learning, pushing myself the extra mile, and getting better at what I do.

06

Since 2014, I’ve been reading at least one book a month—about 150 books so far—mostly on communication, leadership, human behavior, and inspiring true stories. Some favorites are Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, and Freakonomics by Dubner & Levitt.

07

After my MBA, I started looking for a job. As time went by, the search became an experiment and I got really good at it 🙂 I ended up having 250+ interviews in less than 2 years with companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Uber…—learning a lot about what works and what doesn’t.

08

I founded three companies while sometimes working a full-time job. From e-commerce and consulting to creating educational content, these experiences taught me resilience, time management, and the power of taking action even when the timing isn’t perfect.

09

I started a YouTube channel “@arvinspiration” in 2022 to share what I’ve learned over 20 years of experience in communication, public speaking, career development, and motivation. It’s my way of giving back—helping others grow, gain confidence, and reach their goals.

Academic Background

I hold an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Marseille, an MBA from HEC Paris (ranked #9 worldwide by the Financial Times in 2025), a certification in Digital Transformation Strategy (HEC Paris) and a Project Management Certification (PMP, PMI).

Activities

I have been an entrepreneur and consultant for nearly 20 years. I also teach at engineering schools, work as a coach, speak at conferences on topics such as Communication, Influence, and Motivation, and advise large organizations on management and leadership issues. I regularly collaborate with prestigious institutions and well-known companies (HEC Paris, EDF, French Navy, PMI…). Since 2020, I have also served as a Commander (Corvette Captain) in the French Navy Reserve, assigned to the submarine crew training school located at the naval base in Toulon.

Meetings

My diverse activities have led me to engage in conversations with many influential personalities who have shared with me the secrets of their success: Xavier Niel (Founder of Iliad, Free Telecom), Xavier Romatet (CEO of Condé Nast France, publisher of Vogue), Vincent Bastien (Managing Director of Louis Vuitton, Lancel), Virginie Calmels (Managing Director of Canal+, Endemol France), Jérôme Bédier (CEO of Carrefour Group), and many other CxOs…

A Unique Experience

For two years, I conducted an experiment by doing over 250 “test” interviews—both on the open and hidden job markets—some of which led to job offers (e.g., Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Uber, Disneyland, EY, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Atos, Cap Gemini, EDF, Nintendo, GRTgaz, Alstom, Fnac, Natixis, Robert Walters, Assystem, Carrefour, Akka, Areva, the Paris Zoological Park, and many others). Thanks to this experience, I was able to identify the key mechanisms and essential elements to succeed at communicating, influencing, negotiating, and convincing.
